Day 8 of the 30/30 Project

Ok.  The title isn't the best...but the page?  So
CUTE!  I just looked up fawn (you know, after I glued on the title
& went to post the page...wanted to make sure I didn't look totally
stupid) and it can mean "to behave affectionately".  So see?
It totally fits!

Here's what you need:

  • two 4x6 photos

  • on sheet solid cardstock

  • a scrap of 1 x 12 inch cardstock in a complimentary color and another scrap that's about 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 for the tag.

  • two mats for your photo (same color as your title)

  • 1/2 a sheet of print paper & a decorative edge paper to trace

  • embellishments of your choice

  • an alphabet or die cut alphabet to make your title

Here's what I did:

  • I traced the decorative edge on the back of my little animals paper & cut out the shape.

  • Mat the photos.  I trimmed one down to get rid of some ugly
background & matted them.  TIP:  I always make a mat 1/4
bigger than my photo.  So if a photo is 4x6, I cut my mat 4 1/4 x 6

  • Layout the page the way you want it.  When you adhere, be
careful NOT to put glue behind the top of the bottom photo.  That
tag slides in & out & if you glue it flat, then you can put the
journaling tag in.  That would be sad...

  • Pop up your embellishment (the fawn) to the right of the
photos.  Add flowers.  I glued the flowers on with Art
Institute Glue and the buttons are held on with 1/2 a glue dot.

  • For the tag, I cut a rectangle & then snipped off the upper two
corners.  I adhered a 5/8 inch circle towards the top & then
punched a hole in the center (like a tag reinforcer).  I then took a
strip of leftover print paper & gently "tied" it to the tag.

If you'd like to create your page exactly like mine, there are six
(6) kits available today.  They include everything needed to make
this page, including, foam squares, flowers, the fawn die cut, a
googly eye, buttons, glue dots, the scalloped border, the template
for the fancy edge is traced on the back of the paper for you &
there are two sheets of QuicKutz Rainbow letters.  Kits
are just $5.  Get yours before they're gone!
