7/30

Day 7 of the 30/30 Project

DSC_0010

Here's what you need today:

  • one 4x6 photo

  • one solid 12 x 12 cardstock and one scrap (the white) that is 6x8

  • two coordinating prints

  • a 12 inch piece of ribbon

  • an embellishment

  • alphabet stickers or die cuts for the title

Here's what I did:

  • My 4x6 photo needed to be trimmed because of a bunch of ugly
closet door at the top...so it's 4x5.  You can use a full 4x6, just
adjust the measurements of the star piece with the dog tag to
    compensate.

  • Cut a 2 3/4 x 4 inch rectangle of one of your coordinating prints.  With that same print, cut two 2x2 squares.

  • Cut a 2 x 12 inch strip of your other coordinating print (the stripe)

  • Wrap the ribbon around the 2 3/4 x 4 inch piece & tie in a knot.

  • You're going to make photo corners now.  If you don't "get" my
description, swing by the store with your corners & I'll show you
how to fold them.  Take the two 2x2 squares that you just cut &
cut them on the diagonal, forming 4 triangles.  On one piece, fold
the short point (the one in the middle) to the bottom of the straight
edge.  Crease.  Now fold the left point towards you, covering
the point that you just folded.  Do that on the right side,
too.  Now flip it over.  You should have what looks like a
photo corner.  If not, come see me :)

How to make a photo corner out of scrap paper from Kirsten Mead on Vimeo.

  • Lay it all out & decide the placement.  Maybe something will need just a smidge cut off...adjust how you like it.

  • I'd recommend that you journal prior to adhering the 6x8 piece...much easier to fix if you make a mistake!

If you'd like to create your page exactly like mine, there are six
(6) kits available today.  They include everything needed to make
this page, including ribbon, a dog tag journaling piece, a
jump ring & the QuicKutz Biography letters to spell out "I
Love...".  Kits are just $5.  Get yours before they're gone!
