12/30

Day 12 of the 30/30 Project

DSC_0139

Here's what you'll need:

  • five 4x6 photos (the one of the dog is cut down to 4x4)

  • a base cardstock (I used black)

  • 1.5 x 12 inch strip of two different pieces of cardstock (the black glitter & the orange glitter)

  • 1/2 x 12 inch strip of two different pieces of cardstock (the black glitter & the orange glitter)

  • 2 x 4 inch piece of white cardstock for the journaling

  • 12 googlie eyes

  • hole punches in a variety of sizes or the QuicKutz die Starry Night Border cc-bdr-047

  • an embellishment or the QuicKutz Graveyard A2 embossing folder and a 4x6 piece of black glitter cardstock

  • sand paper (if you embossed)

  •  a 1 1/4 inch circle punch and a 1 1/2 inch circle punch

  • foam squares to adhere the moon

Here's what I did:

  • I used 3 horizontal 4x6 photos & one vertical 4x6 photo.  The photo of the dog was cut down to 4x4

  • arrange your photos on the base cardstock but don't adhere yet.

  • cut the Starry Night Border out of black glitter cardstock into
    a 1 1/2 x 12 inch strip & a 1/2 x 12 inch strip.  Poke out the
holes from the die cut...or punch holes using various sized holes.

  • cut a 1 1/2 x 12 inch strip of the orange glitter cardstock.  Adhere it to the black one of the same size.

  • cut a 1/2 x 12 inch strip of the orange glitter cardstock.  Adhere it to the black one of the same size.

  • arrange your page & adhere it all down

  • add googly eyes on the glitter strips

  • emboss the graveyard design on the black glitter paper

  • using sandpaper, gently sand over the embossed image until the white core of the cardstock starts to show through

  • trim around the graveyard scene & adhere to your journaling piece

  • punch a 1 1/4 inch circle out of orange glitter paper...discard the punched out circle

  • use the 1 1/2 inch circle over the hole left in your paper from the previous circle, creating a moon shape.

  • adhere the moon with foam squares

Here's a quick video on how to make a moon out of circle punches.

I have to be honest here...I got the idea for the moon from Kwernerdesigns here
(that girl is AMAZING!)  I didn't watch her video...it could be
totally different.  (I have a bad habit of not follwoing
directions...doesn't always work out so well for me...but in this case,
our moon is great!)

If you'd like to do this page exactly like mine, we have six (6) kits
available for today's project.  The kits are just $5 and include
everything you need to make the page, including the glitter
paper, foam squares & googlie eyes.  Get yours before
they're gone!
