Day 11 of the 30/30 Project

Here's what you'll need:

  • two 4x6 photos

  • one sheet each of two different prints

  • a background cardstock & a 6.5 x 12 inch complementary cardstock

  • a 3x6 inch scrap of white or ivory cardstock for journaling

  • letters for the title

  • 5 brads

  • a circle cutter...or a big plate & a small, 2 1/2 inch drinking glass

Here's what I did:

  • the printed paper I used had circles printed all over it.  I
used my Curvy Cutter to cut out 9 circles from the paper.

  • I used the outside edge of the small Curvy Cutter circle to do the
big, yellow 1/2 circle (watch the video to see how the little circles
& the big circle were made)

How to use your Curvy Cutter from Kirsten Mead on Vimeo.

  • partially adhere the yellow circle to your background page.
Tuck the little circles around the yellow piece, creating a flower
effect (although I keep calling it a sun...go figure).  Once you
have them where you want, glue it all down

  • cut a 2 x 12 inch strip of the stripped paper.  Adhere to the page, about 1 1/2 inches from the bottom.

  • add brads to the left side of the stripe paper and two more to the
top right corner.  Pre-poke the holes with a paper piercer, gently
enlarging the holes so these big brads will fit through them.

  • add a title & journaling to the journaling rectangle.
Corner this case, I used the small, yellow rounder from EK
Success (normally I use the green one...I was using what was sitting in
    front of me)

  • adhere your photos.  Add an extra circle & a brad to the right corner of the bottom photo.

  • add some pen work around the sun.  It's just two is
fairly straight, the other is intentionally weaved over & under the
    first line.

If you'd like to create your page exactly like mine, there are six (6)
kits available today.  They include everything needed to make this
page, including, two sheets of Sticky Note QuicKutz letters & the brads you'll need.  Kits are just $5.  Get yours
before they're gone!
