December Classes & a contest at the end...

December brings the following classes (photos to come shortly!):

There's so much you won't want to miss!  Each of the Holiday Card Classes feature 5 super fun cards.  Just think, when you leave, you'll be 5 cards ahead on your list!

The Holiday Decor Class
is going to be SO fun!  We'll be making "snowballs" that you've
seen hanging from the ceiling at the store, a cute snowman goodie box
& a chipboard piece featuring santa.  All so adorable!

The Holiday Gifts to Give Class will be making a mini album that's a gift card holder...oh my gosh, SO cool!  And a couple of other clever gifts, too!

Then there's the Holiday Calendars Class.  You'll make an adorable calendar that is ready to give as a holiday gift!

Of course Midnight Madness
is a great time to catch up on card making, finishing off those last
minute holiday scrapbooks (or starting them :) ) or even just taking
some time for yourself!

Pictures with Santa is
our annual event that features local professional photographer Colleen
Timmons.  Colleen takes your photos with our very popular Santa for
a donation of a new, unwrapped toy for the Law Enforcement Toy Drive
(one toy per person being photographed, please).  In return, you
get professional photos & a CD with your photos on it that you can
then make into holiday cards & gifts for family.  How wonderful
is that?

We can't wait to see you for these exciting classes & events!

was thinking about adding an event to the week of the 17th but want
your input on it.  I thought it would be fun to have a gift
wrapping party.  Bring your gifts to wrap & an appetizer &
then we'll all wrap our gifts together.  There's not a fee...just a
place to go with plenty of room (and privacy) to wrap your holiday
gifts.  I think it'll be fun!  Leave a comment about what night works best for you.

I'm getting ready to work on the next quarter class schedule & want
to know what YOU would like to see on it.  Here are the questions
I'd like you to think about:

  • What days are classes best for you?

  • What times are best for you?

  • What classes do you want to see offered?

  • What hours do you wish the store were open?

Just leave a comment below or, if you wish your
answers to be private, shoot me an email at  You're comments are SO important to
us!  Thank you!

And you know, I just asked you to give me a whole lot of comments, so I think I'll have a random drawing.  Comments must be posted by Monday, November 24th at noon.  I'll select one winner to receive a collection of holiday papers.  Not too bad for just answering a few questions!

  1. Hmm, know that it is hard to find times that work for various schedules
and two or three months ahead of time. I usually look at the upcoming
schedule and try to plan ahead. I really liked the Saturday crop time
4-10pm that was on the last couple of schedules. Sundays are a really
good day for me to leave the house and go crop all day, but know that
all of us need a day off - including you and your staff! Maybe an all
day class that completes a theme of some type - birthday pages, holiday
pages, etc. I purchased Photoshop software and still haven't learned to
use it, so maybe a short class on that. And certainly a photography
    class....still waiting for that one!
    Have a great Thanksgiving,

  2. My favorite class is still the fast and easy classes. I love getting 2
or 3 page ideas to complete and repeat the best ones in new layouts
later. For my schedule weekend classes and crops are easiest, but
Midnight madness is great too. Evening classes are good too. LOVE
Midnight madness. As far as store hours I love that you guys stay open
during classes and crops so that we can come it at odd hours. Monday's
closed really hasn't bothered me, there are actually more Sunday's where
I've wistfully thought about you guys being open.
Like Vickie I like to plan in advance so I take a look at the schedule
ahead of time to get myself on the I love that you do your
calender several months at a time.

  3. Ditto above! Midnight Madness are great. A nice break to end the work
week and start of the weekend. Classes in the evenings and Saturday are
good and the Saturday crops were nice also. Store hours seem to work
just fine for me. I will agree sometimes I wish you were open on Sunday
but don't expect you to do that. We all need a break. I still would love
to go to a class for the chipboard word books and other chipboard
books. Didn't realize how neat they were until after classes were held
earlier this year. Maybe you could repeat them. It is nice that the
schedule is for 3 months. I always try and sign up ahead and then make
that my priority for the month.

  4. My favorite also is the fast and easy pages because so much can be
accomplished and I lover being able to pick out paper for our lay-outs
and photos. Saturday classes are the best for me and I love the crops. I
love just having time to roam around the store and see the new
