Working with Acrylic

Acrylic Albums & transparencies. Frankly, they're
a little bit intimidating. But once you use them...learn some tricks
about them, they are amazing!  You can
use most anything on them...paint, ink, pens, paper, stickers, buttons, flowers, brads...really,
you name it.  Here are some tips to help you get the most out of your acrylic pieces:

  • The most important thing is to use the proper adhesive.
Use adhesives such as Tombow Mono Adhesive, Dot-N-Roller by Kokuyo, Glue
Dots, ATG guns, and other clear, non liquid adhesives.

  • The Cropadile (or Big Bite) from We R Memory Keepers is your best
friend.  It will punch holes in the thin transparencies &
thicker acrylic, allowing you to place brads, eyelets & rings.

  • Use a Heidi Swapp clock face for a super fun page in your album...without paper!

  • Position the items on your project prior to adhering
It is as important to take into consideration what it will look like on
the back side of your project as it is on the front.

  • Lastly, have fun with it!  It's an awesome medium that can take your creativity to a new level!
