Food for thought

I was reading the Mary Engelbreit Home Companion magazine
the other day (we just started carrying it in the store...but I've
loved it forever) and I found this profound comment that I thought I'd

"A well-chosen holiday card is like a celebration in an
envelope.  It packs an emotional punch that can't be equaled by a
mere phone call or email, bridging the distance between us in a very
personal way."

The other comment I liked in the magazine was in Mary's Scrapbook
"...I still write actual letters to my friends many times each
week.  There's nothing more touching than holding a letter and
knowing that a friend's hand brushed the page." (quoted from Patti
Burtels letter to the editor)

So if you've taken a breather from making cards, maybe it's time to
start again.  Use your leftover scrapbooking scraps & drop a
card in the mail to someone you haven't spoken to in a while...or even
someone you just saw.  It'll make their day!
